Of course I'm behind

Surprise, surprise I'm behind on posting...I'm feeling behind on a lot of things lately! There has been lots of happy happening!   #100HappyDays

I love sweet MH

Day 8 (Tuesday)-I got to have a wonderful lunch date with this sweetheart and her parents!  So glad I was able to meet up with the while they were in OKC!

Day 9 (Wednesday)-Two sweet friends sent me notes of encouragement.  Sometimes this fertility journey can be lonely, but having wonderful support makes it a lot easier!

Aren't they the cutest!

Day 10 (Thursday)-After work I enjoyed some time in my sunroom reading.  My view was great too!

My awesome junk show find!
Day 11, 12, & 13 (the weekend!)-Ryan and I spent all weekend with our families.  It was so great to spend some quality time with them and enjoy some yummy meals...thanks mom for fish tacos!  I also went to the Junk Hippie show with a dear friend...I could have spent a lot of money there.

Day 14 (Monday)-Recently I have started selling It Works products, mainly because I love the products so it helps pay for all the ones I want to use.  One of the best things is I get to work with one of my besties.  Last night we did an online party together…it was kinda like we were in the same state.  I miss seeing her all the time!
Just a little bit of cuteness to leave you with!

A Weekend of Happy

Lucy and Kiba had a great time together

This weekend was packed with lots of happiness!  There were lots of things I could post about, but here are my favoritesfor #100happydays.

Day 4: Summer BBQ with some dear friends, their hubbies, kid, and dogs!  When I moved to Norman almost 6 years ago I was invited to attend a woman’s bible study with women from several different churches.  Although the faces have changed and I have moved and rarely attend, these women have become some of my dearest friends.  It was fun having them over!

Day 5:  Slumber parties are so much FUN!  M&M came over and we had such a great time.  Lucy and Lola might have enjoyed it the most!

Meet Phoebe Dee

Day 6: Babies and puppies…need I say more?  I got to snuggle with a friends little girl after her baptism and play with Phoebe Dee!  It was definitely worth the drive to Stillwater.

Day 7: As I relaxed on the couch with a headache my sweet husband did the dishes and made yummy goodies for our small group.  He let me just rest and feel better.  I love him (and the snacks).

Day 2 & 3

Day 2 #100HappyDays-Lola the NBA Star!
Yesterday was a rare evening in the Henderson house…there were no major plans!!!  So, I got to read a book, take a walk, and enjoy the evening at home.  There are so many happy things I could pick, but then this happened.  Lola has always loved playing with bouncy balls and tennis balls, but this was a new joy that kept me laughing all evening.  I was a little worried the basketball would crush her, but she moved and was so helpful for rebounds!

Day 3 #100HappyDays–Wedding Planning

Tonight I got to sit down with a bride and discuss details of her big day.  I love wedding planning and helping make a brides dream come true.  If I can take some stress off the mother-of-the-bride then my work is a success!

100 Happy Days-Day 1

This blog has been on my mind a lot lately.  Two years ago, Ryan and I started the blog with this idea of documenting our summer of fun.  In my mind it was going to be the last summer just the two of us, so we were going to experience everything that isn’t as easy to do with kids!  We had a great summer, but so much fun we didn’t spend time blogging.  Since then things haven’t slowed down we’ve dealt with a tornado, moving (a tornado while trying to move), renovating our new home, Ryan getting a new job, and Ryan passing his PE!  During this time we’ve also been trying to start a family.

We have so many blessing in our lives, but through our journey with infertility I tend to lose sight of these blessings.  Over the past months I have seen so many people on Facebook and Instagram start their #100HappyDays, and I love the idea of focusing on the positive.  So, I’m challenging myself to 100 happy days!  Knowing me, posts won’t necessarily make it up here daily but I’m taking this challenge on.

So, day 1 of #100HappyDays…

Last night we had weekly small group.  This summer we’re spending time in fellowship with each other!  Last night we had the WHOLE group plus some guests.  At one point in time there was a fire on the grill and a man in the tree…it was a lot of crazy, but I loved every minute.

I’m thankful for their servant hearts, always willing to give a helping hand.

And their cute kiddos who always make me laugh!

I Wear My Sunglasses at Night....

Only if they are new and "Summer of Fun" approved.  That's right, we needed new sunglasses to help on our many adventures.  We were so excited to get them we had to put them on once we got home!

We then spent awhile enjoying the beautiful evening.  We have been working so hard on our back yard, it's nice to have time to finally enjoy it!

Lola, like always, loves spending time outside.  Her Frisbee is the favorite outside toy!

All this after having dinner with some friends, a perfect evening!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Let the fun begin!

For the past 2.5 years my wonderful husband has been working to add to his education, and complete his Master’s degree.  I’m so proud, but it’s been hard work and long hours for him.  Since he graduated last weekend, we have deemed this to be our “Summer of Fun!”   This blog will keep you up to date on our adventure, and we hope you will give us more ideas!

So, before we give you the list of fun you need to meet the adventurers…
Ryan and I have been married for almost a year and a half.  We are truly best friends.  Ryan loves to golf and competes in long drive competitions.  Katelynn enjoys crafts and planning weddings.
 After Ryan's Graduation, May 2012

We will also have many fun times with our “furry baby.”  Lola B. is our 4 year-old toy poodle.  Her favorite hobby is playing in the yard with her Frisbee.

Now, our list of fun.  These aren’t in any order.
  • Picnic in the park
  • Go fishing
  • Zoo trip
  • Have a water fight
  • Make popsicles/ice cream (sugar free of course)
  • Myriad Gardens
  • Play with sidewalk chalk
  • Go to a drive-in movie
  • Make a fort in our living room for movie night
  • Go hiking
  • Go to a farmer's market
  • Fly kites
  • Game night
  • Mini golf (even though Katelynn always loses)
  • Ryan will teach Katelynn how to play golf (this in itself could take all summer)
  • Do a service project...we're taking suggestion for what this should be!
  • Road trip!
  • Take Lola to the dog park!
  • Have pajama dance party...yes this was Katelynn's idea
Please leave us ideas of what else we should add to the list, or if you have suggestion for any of our activities.
